DEVONTA

DeVonta is an attractive young man who enjoys all sports, especially soccer and playing video games. He is very well mannered and well behaved. He is eager to please and is well liked by those who know him. DeVonta is intelligent, fun, creative, respectful, kind, and loving. He enjoys attending church, and participating in family activities. He performs above average academically and is generally healthy. He has many friends and gets along well with other children both younger and older. He hopes to be adopted by a loving family and would love to have siblings. DeVonta is involved in counseling to address issues related to his birth family. DeVonta has been in his current foster home since 2004. The foster family is in unable to adopt Devonte but hopes to maintain contact with him when he is placed in his adoptive home

DaVone enjoys sports and playing video games. He is active and pleasant to be around. DaVone has a contagious smile and great personality. Academically, DaVone struggles with reading comprehension and is currently being tested for a learning disability. He is on medication to help with concentration. Teachers report that he is a good student, is well liked and appears to enjoy school.

Marteesha is a beautiful girl who can be well mannered and articulate. She enjoys getting dressed up as she takes pride in her appearance. She is physically healthy and is on target developmentally. Academically, Marteesha is involved in special education classes and performs average. She is described as helpful and enjoys hanging out with friends, dancing, shopping, and attending church. She has one sibling with whom she would like to maintain contact with. Marteesha would benefit from a strong authoritative female parent in addition to a patient, supportive family who will provide her with love and guidance.

BRITTNEY
Birthdate: November 1994

Brittney is a pretty girl who smiles often and is described as affectionate and pleasing to others. She enjoys doing arts, crafts, playing the piano, as well as hanging out with friends and reading. Overall, she has a positive attitude and strives to do well. She is physically healthy and on target developmentally. Brittney appreciates learning new things and is a joy to have in the classroom setting. She is a positive role model to her peers and younger siblings. Her behavior has improved greatly over the past couple of years and she is looking forward to finding a forever family. She continues to maintain a relationship with her siblings and has requested that her potential forever family be ongoing contact.

David enjoys participating in group activities such as basketball and football. He is content riding his bike,playing with remote control cars and video games. David is very protective of his brothers and values the time he spends with them. He has a beautiful smile, is kindhearted and can be very likable. Da'QUAN
Birthday: July 1999

Da'Quan is an adorable little boy who is friendly and enjoys being around other children. He loves to be outdoors, play games and enjoys participating in sports. He performs well in school and has the ability to maintain lasting relationships with his peers. He is a pleasant child with a charming personality. He is currently residing in his foster home of five years. The family had initially expressed interest in adoption but is no longer able to adopt. Da'Quan has requested that his forever family be open to visits with his older brothers.

Robert is an adorable little boy who is very lovable and has lots of energy. Robert is generally healthy and is of average height and weight for his age. He enjoys riding his bike, playing outside and playing with big trucks. He truly is intrigued by the outdoors and enjoys going to parks, fishing and outside activities. He can be very comical and is eager to please. Robert, at times has issues getting along with his peers and controlling his anger. He is involved in counseling and on medication to address behavioral issues and issues related to the loss of his birth family. Currently, he is performing average academically however, has to be redirected due to his behavior in the school setting. Robert is in need of a structured family who is willing to give him a chance to thrive.

This adorable sibling pair have been placed together since initial placement.  Earl and Unique appear very bonded to each other.  Earl is a happy two year old who enjoys playing with cars and trucks.  He enjoys one on one time and loves spending time with his sister, Unique.   Earl is receiving services from Help Me Grow and was previously referred for speech therapy, however, is now on target developmentally.  Unique, age three, enjoys dancing and singing and spending time with her foster family and her brother, Earl.  Unique loves to play with her dolls, color and read her picture story books.  The children have a very strong bond with each other and desire to be adopted together.

BROOKLYN
Birthdate:  October 2005

JASMINE
Birthdate:  October 1999

Brooklyn is an adorable five year old bi-racial little girl who  likes to draw and color.   She also enjoys playing with cars, trucks, balls, and big dolls.  She likes to watch old cartoons on the Boomerang Network.  Her favorite foods are  macaroni and cheese,  chicken nuggets, and fries.  She enjoys playing outside with chalk on the driveway.  She loves to swim in her foster parents’ above ground pool.  She also enjoys playing on the trampoline with other children.  Brooklyn is intelligent and does well at Head Start.  She has a medical condition involving her adrenal glands which requires daily medication.  Brooklyn has an 11 year old Caucasian sister, Jasmine, to whom she is attached and would like to be placed for adoption. 

Jasmine is a very intelligent 11 year old Caucasian girl who  likes to sing, draw, play outside, ride her bike, sing in the school choir, and play games with balls.  She also enjoys playing computer/video games and watching television shows such as Sponge Bob and Hannah Montana.  Jasmine’s foster mother describes her as smart and a quick learner. She knows what is right and wrong and can be competitive.  Jasmine is outgoing, bubbly, happy, and usually singing.  She is on medication for bi-polar disorder.  Jasmine would very much like to be placed for adoption with Brooklyn.

Navaeh and Aleaha

This adorable sibling pair have been placed together since initial placement.  Nevaeh and Aleaha appear very bonded to each other.  Nevaeh is a very affectionate, friendly child who enjoys coloring, playing with her dolls and watching Sponge Bob.  Nevaeh likes to watch her older foster sister practice dancing and enjoys having books read to her.  Nevaeh was a premature baby and is currently attending Early Intervention Preschool.  Nevaeh receives speech and occupational therapy. She is progressing well.  Nevaeh will need heart surgery at age four to correct a congenital heart defect.

Aleaha, is a petite toddler who can be shy, but very affectionate with her foster family.  She likes to follow her older sister in play and enjoys reading with her foster mother.  The girls have a very strong bond and wish to remain together.

Jonathon and Deion

Jonathon and Deion are very close and need to find a loving family who is able to adopt them.  They appear developmentally on target and have no special medical needs.

Both of these children have their own personality and likes:  Jonathon is a happy, young child, who loves the color green. Jonathon loves to eat and play.  He enjoys coloring and playing outside. Jonathon loves to climb trees, ride bikes and get dirty.  Deion is an active child, who enjoys attention from others. He enjoys reading books and coloring. Deion, like his brother, loves to play outside. Deion has a diagnosis of asthma, although it appears that he has not had to use the nebulizer in a while.

The children have a very strong bond with each other and desire to be adopted together. Jonathon and Deion’s older siblings are currently placed together and they would like to have continued contact after the adoption. The children have a strong bond despite being separated in their placements. They have maintained contact through visitation and they enjoy their time together. They would benefit from a home which could maintain a structured environment for them to thrive in.
